Benieuwd naar de rijleservaring bij autorijschool AJ Drive en wil je persoonlijk advies na een proefles? Neem dan een proefles. Deze is gratis als je na afloop besluit een rijlespakket bij ons te nemen. Neem je geen rijles pakket, dan kost de proefles slechts eenmalig €45,- (dit is nog minder dan de normale prijs van één losse rijles).

Het is heel normaal om nerveus te zijn voor je proefrijles. Je gaat iets nieuws doen waar je lang naar hebt uitgekeken, dus dat is altijd spannend. Het belangrijkste is dat je je comfortabel voelt en geconcentreerd bent. Wij helpen je om je op je gemak te voelen, want de sfeer in de auto is erg prettig. Bovendien is de lesauto zo uitgevoerd dat je instructeur alles vanaf haar plaats kan bedienen: gas-, rem- en koppelingspedaal zijn dubbel uitgevoerd, en het stuur is goed bereikbaar voor je instructeur. Zo zorgt je rijinstructeur ervoor dat bij een foutje er niets ernstigs kan gebeuren.  

Je mag in Nederland vanaf 16 jaar en 6 maanden beginnen met je rijlessen en vanaf 17 jaar het rijexamen afleggen. Dat betekent dat je al vanaf 16 jaar en 6 maanden bij ons in de auto kunt stappen voor je gratis proefpakket.

Nee, na afloop van de gratis proefles krijg je het individueel advies over een geadviseerd rijlespakket om je rijbewijs snel en voortvarend te halen. Neem je dit pakket af, dan is de proefles gratis. Je bent niet verplicht om dit rijlespakket ook af te nemen.

Yes, of course! If you take a driving lesson package from us, you can also pay for it in installments. Ask your driving instructor about the possibilities.

If your package turns out to be too large and you can take your exam earlier than the number of lessons you have taken in your driving lesson package, you will receive a refund for the remaining lessons.

You can follow your own online theory course with a popular theory provider via our theory course page . This is done outside our driving school and you arrange it yourself directly with one of the popular theory providers.

You can get your theory certificate at the CBR by taking the theory exam. You can take the CBR theory exam via my CBR. We have created a link to my CBR in the menu of our website, so that you can easily log in with your DigiD. The costs are only a few tens of euros once.

No, that is not necessary. You do not need to have passed the theory exam to be allowed to take driving lessons. However, you must have passed the theory exam if you are going to take the practical exam or an interim test.

The practice of driving lessons supports learning your theory, especially in the part of hazard recognition. That is why we advise our students to combine driving lessons with learning your theory, so to do both at the same time.

If you have already passed the theory exam, you do not need to learn it anymore and we will remove the online theory course from your package. Please note! You may only take a driving test if you have passed the theory exam with a pass and your theory certificate is valid for a maximum of 18 months.

Your theory exam invitation card. You will receive this from the CBR after you have ordered the theory exam via my CBR. In addition, you will bring a legally permitted, valid ID. This is one of these documents:

• Dutch passport
• Travel document for refugees
• European Identity Card from the EU
• Passport of nationals, foreign passport containing a temporary residence permit (sticker)

Het theorie-examen bestaat uit drie onderdelen, zie onder. Per onderdeel moet je een minimum aantal vragen goed hebben om te slagen voor je theorie-examen. Dit is als volgt:

1. Gevaarherkenning: minimaal 13 van 25 vragen moet goed zijn.
2. Kennis: minimaal 10 van de 12 vragen moet goed zijn.
3. Inzicht: minimaal 25 van de 28 vragen moet goed zijn. 

De meeste mensen hebben toch wel moeite met de vragen die over de gevaarherkenning gaan. Deze vragen worden als meerkeuzevragen gesteld. Je ziet een situatie en moet snel inschatten of je in het echt niets doet, je gas loslaat of remt. Dit wordt door heel veel leerlingen als lastig ervaren, zeker als je nog nooit hebt gereden. De praktijk van de rijlessen ondersteunt het leren van je theorie, zeker bij het onderdeel van de gevaarherkenning. Daarom adviseren we onze leerlingen om de rijlessen te combineren met het leren van je theorie.

Bij het CBR kan je je theorie examen boeken met extra tijd als je dyslexie hebt. Of je extra tijd wilt afnemen kan je aangeven bij het boeken van je theorie examen bij mijn CBR. 

Yes, that is possible! With us, it is not mandatory to take a lesson package. You can also take individual lessons and, as it were, put together your own lesson package. Het aantal rijlessen dat je nodig hebt hangt af van je ervaring, vaardigheden en kennis.  Gemiddeld zijn het 30 lessen van 60 minuten. Tijdens de gratis proefles kijken we hoeveel lessen je nodig hebt. Je hoort dan direct wat wij verwachten en welk lespakket wij adviseren.

During the free trial lesson, we will see if our standard packages are suitable for you. After all, we will have seen you driving and then we can tell you how many lessons you need.

You can start with the theory at the age of 16 and start your driving lessons from 16 years and 6 months. You can get your driver's license at 17. If you want, we can even schedule your driving test on your birthday! That way you don't have to wait until you're 18. However, you must drive under supervision with an experienced driver from the age of 17 to 18. From the age of 18, you can drive completely independently without anyone next to you.

With us you can meet multiple times a week, for most cases that is not a problem. The speed at which you can take new driving lessons depends mainly on:

• Whether you have passed your theory
• Whether you have made the payment
• The date of your driving test
• And... last but not least: how flexibly you can plan appointments in your own agenda :)

A driving lesson lasts 60 minutes.

No, we will pick you up at home in the region of The Hague, such as: The Hague, Rijswijk, Nootdorp, Delft, Naaldwijk, Zoetermeer and Pijnacker.

Met een automaat rijbewijs mag je alleen in een auto met automaat rijden, je hebt dan geen rijbewijs voor een handgeschakelde auto. Je haalt als het ware met een automaat rijbewijs een half rijbewijs. We zien vaak dat deze mensen terug moeten komen voor bijlessen. Wij doen het daarom liever in één keer goed. Je krijg bij ons daarom les in een handgeschakelde auto. Als je dat namelijk kan, dan kan en mag je ook rijden in een auto met een automaat en dan is de kans ook klein dat je terug moet voor opfriscursussen.

You must be healthy enough to drive a car, both physically and mentally. That is why the CBR checks everyone who wants to take a driving test with a health declaration. The health declaration contains questions about your health. You must fill these in truthfully, because you are responsible for your own safety and that of others.

You can apply for a health declaration via the website My CBR. A link to this can be found via the menu of our website. You can log in there with your DigiD with sms code. Go to apply for health declaration and fill in your health declaration truthfully. The costs for a health declaration are a few tens of euros. The health declaration is valid for one year.

Yes, the CBR assesses whether you are medically fit to drive a car. So request your health declaration right at the start of your driving training. It can be busy at the CBR medical assessments and sometimes you have to go to a medical specialist and/or take a driving test at the CBR. That takes extra time.

If you have had your driver's license for a while, but have not driven for a long time, then a refresher course is recommended. You can best take this with a few separate driving lessons. Check out our separate driving lessons page for more information.

Omdat je bij ons snel je rijbewijs kan halen, is het al mogelijk om direct na je gratis proefrijles het examen te reserveren. Als je het alles-in-één pakket afneemt, dan zit je rijexamen in je pakket en vragen wij voor je aan direct na de 1e termijn van betaling is ontvangen.

Heb je geen pakket afgenomen, maar neem je losse lessen, dan is het aan jou om aan te geven wanneer je het rijexamen wilt afnemen. Wij kunnen dan op jouw verzoek het rijexamen voor je inplannen. Je betaalt dan los voor het rijexamen aan ons.

For getting a driving test, we are dependent on the available capacity at the CBR and that is erratic. You can usually take the exam within 8 to 10 weeks. During the corona period it took even longer, so these kinds of things also affect the waiting time of the CBR. But don't be sad, because in the meantime we will get to work on bringing your driving skills up to standard so that you have a high chance of passing.

First of all, you must be in possession of a sufficient grade for the theory exam B. You will no longer receive a certificate, because the CBR stores your certificate digitally in their system. You may only take a driving test if you have passed the theory exam with a sufficient grade and your theory certificate is valid for a maximum of 18 months.

What you then need to bring to the CBR driving test is the following:

• A valid ID
• The completed Candidate Self-Reflection form, which is required for the final interview
• Reservation confirmation

Immediately after you have taken the driving test, you will be told by the CBR whether you have passed or failed. If you have passed the driving test, you can apply for your driver's license at the town hall the next day. If you have failed, you are eligible for a re-exam. You must wait two weeks from the CBR in any case before you can take another driving test.

Yes, an interim test can increase your chance of passing. With an interim test you can see whether you are sufficiently prepared for the driving test. The interim test is comparable to the real exam and gives a good insight into the knowledge you need. It also makes you less tense during a driving test, because you have already practiced everything once during the interim test together with a CBR instructor next to you.

Yes, we also offer the interim test in our all-in-one package. If you do not opt for this package, but take individual driving lessons, you have the choice to take an interim test through us. See our interim test page for more information.

If you wish to cancel your driving test, please contact us as soon as possible.

We will pick you up at home and then drive to the CBR exam location in The Hague.
